03 / Content & strategy

Answer the question behind the search.

Useful content helps someone decide what to do next. Start with the services you actually provide, the questions customers ask and the evidence you can share.

Give each page a clear job.

A service page, a cost guide and a comparison answer different questions. A useful content plan gives each important page a distinct purpose and connects it to the next relevant step.

For example, the main Dallas SEO page can explain the overall offer. A technical SEO page can explain audits and implementation. A measurement guide can help someone evaluate progress. Creating several pages for near-identical variations of “Dallas SEO company” is unlikely to make the customer journey clearer.

Improve what is already valuable.

Review existing pages before adding more. Look for outdated explanations, missing service details, weak next steps, overlapping topics and useful pages that are hard to find. Search and conversion data can help choose priorities when it is available and reliable.

  • Keep useful URLs stable where possible.
  • Combine overlapping material when a clearer page will serve the reader.
  • Add specific process details and genuine evidence.
  • Link a supporting guide to the service it explains.
  • Record the reason for a change and its review date.

Business knowledge belongs in the workflow.

Brief

Define the reader, question, page purpose and information required from the business.

Draft

Explain the answer clearly, then add useful context, examples and a sensible next step.

Verify

Check services, pricing, location claims and supporting sources before publication.

Review

Use observed queries and customer questions to improve existing content over time.

AI can assist with research and drafting. It cannot supply missing business experience, invent a project or approve a factual claim on the operator’s behalf.

Choose usefulness over a publishing quota.

A proposed article should answer a real customer question, support a service page, reduce uncertainty or provide something worth referring to. If its purpose is unclear, it should not become another URL to maintain.

Helpful details may include what information is needed for a review, what an audit covers, how implementation is handled and how enquiries are measured. Public copy should describe the approved scope without making unsupported performance promises.

A simple editorial test: after reading this page, can the person understand the subject better or make a more informed decision?
